Primitive Shapes

Image
For my primitive shape assignment, I wanted to include some personal interests into the project. Because I enjoy character design and concept work, I decided to make a little scene consisting of two characters. The first being what the viewer would perceive as being a mother and the second being her child.      Attempting to make characters that felt somewhat fluid was a bit of a challenge when working with stagnant primitives. I think my favorite part of the piece is the posture of the mother; I feel like I did a pretty good job with making her pose feel real and believable. All in all, I really enjoyed this project, and feel it has taught me a lot when it comes to basic principles of Maya. -Morgan 9/25/17

Welcome One and All

Hi everyone! Just taking a quick moment to introduce myself as well as my blog. My name is Morgan, I'm currently 20 years old, a Junior studying Digital Art, and I'm a huge video game nerd. I hope to one day work in the video game industry designing characters, creating story-lines, and just plain nerd stuff. I usually stick to more 2D work, but I'm very interested in learning the ways of 3D magic. This blog will be a place for me to compile various assignments and pieces that I work on throughout my 3D Animation course during the Fall Semester of 2017. Feel free to join me for the ride, or abandon ship before we wreck, either way it's sure to be fun. -Morgan 8/28/17
